Coding

Today we have been learning how to make codes. We had to put 2 or 3 bombs in the grid and make the code the code for the pirate to get to the finish.

Christmas poem

We had to sketch a Christmas tree and as we sketched the tree we wrote about how we felt. We then wrote a poem. Here is my poem.

Handwriting Term 4

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I am good at writing my letters.

I need to get better at making sure my letters are on the line.

Kauri poem

We have been learning about Kauri die-back. We sketched a Kauri tree and wrote a poem about it. Here is mine.

Garden to Table Term 2

In this video I am cutting up spinach in the kitchen.
i make  yummy food in the kitchen and we have lots of fun in the garden getting really dirty.

Basic facts

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly.

I have finished Stage 2-3 and am staring Stage 4.

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I need to get better at spacing.

Art

We have been working on using different art techniques to draw our faces. We have used sketching pencils to sketch our faces, making sure we made our facial features an accurate shape, size and putting them in the correct places.

We learnt about Picasso’s style and made our own funky Picasso portraits.

Swimming

We have been working towards becoming a confident swimmer by learning how to be a safe swimmer. We learnt that we should always swim with an adult and to always wear a life jacket when we are on a boat. At our swimming lessons we have learnt how to float, kick, glide and use rainbow arms and we are still learning to breathe correctly.
